X Users Can Now Make Audio Calls

X, formerly known as Twitter, has rolled out audio calling to users. The feature is currently only available to premium subscribers, but all accounts can receive calls.

To make an audio call, users must first enable the feature in the app’s settings. Once enabled, users can start a call by opening a Direct Message conversation and tapping the phone icon in the top right corner of the screen.

X’s audio calling feature is powered by CallKit on iOS, so calls will look and feel like regular phone calls on users’ devices. Users can also choose to receive calls from only people in their address book, people they follow, verified users, or all three.

The rollout of audio calling is a significant development for X, as it makes the platform more versatile and useful for users. Audio calls can be used to have more personal and in-depth conversations with friends, family, and colleagues. They can also be used for business purposes, such as conducting interviews or giving presentations.

Here are some of the benefits of using X’s audio calling feature:

  • Convenience: Users can make audio calls directly from the X app, without having to switch to another app or service.
  • Quality: X’s audio calling feature uses high-quality audio codecs to ensure clear and crisp calls.
  • Security: X’s audio calling feature is end-to-end encrypted, so users can be confident that their conversations are private.
  • Versatility: X’s audio calling feature can be used for a variety of purposes, including personal communication, business calls, and customer support.

Overall, X’s audio calling feature is a welcome addition to the platform. It makes X more convenient and versatile for users, and it provides a high-quality and secure way to communicate with others.
