YouTube has announced extending its Channel Permissions feature to the main YouTube app. This means that channel owners can now approve selected users to manage their channel within the app, in addition to current access via YouTube Studio.
Previously, creators could only allocate management roles for their channels through YouTube Studio. This means that they had to log in to YouTube Studio to make changes to their channel permissions. With the new update, it will be easier.
The new update also allows users within the main YouTube app, on desktop and mobile, to post on an approved owner’s behalf. This allows the channel owners to delegate some of the management tasks to trusted users, freeing up their time to focus on other aspects of their channel.
As you can see in the above image how you can give Channel permissions to delegate management tasks to trusted users. You can find channel permissions in YouTube Studio under Settings > Permissions.
To invite other users to manage your channel, click Invite and enter their email addresses. You can also update your delegation by clicking the Edit button next to a user’s name.
