YouTube Expands Monetization, Adds Analytics

YouTube is expanding access to its monetization features for thousands of creators and rolling out a new update to channel analytics to help channel managers better understand their results.

In June, YouTube announced that it would lower the requirements for entry into the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) from 1,000 subscribers to 500 subscribers. This means that more creators will now be eligible to earn money from their channels through ads, channel memberships, Super Chat, and Super Stickers.

YouTube is also rolling out a new update to channel analytics that will allow channel managers to see how their channel compares to other channels in similar niches. This information can help creators to identify areas where they can improve their channel performance.
